I just wish it didn't take me so dang long (I was in my 30s when I met her) to figure out what to go for.

in my 20s, any good looking woman with long legs was all it took ... I overlooked the other flaws... now I know better...

used to be the "3 B" women: beautiful but broke... lol

most valuable in a woman: woman doesn't argue, is honest, clean and drug/alcohol/smoke free, and can cook.

if she has brains (mine does! UH college grad, bright), and looks nice, even better. and no arguing, that's most important. peace of mind rules. keep it simple.

wow. Im on Match in the UK and have no luck whatsoever. Used to use it in NY with 1,000x better results. It helps to be in a culture where dating services arent considered weird.

This is the common excuse but it's not true. The affordability index of the US isn't that much higher than it was 50 years ago, yet there are far more 2-income households now. The second income is needed to pay for a nanny and dining out (you need to dine out when you dont know how to cook).

The culprit is the feminimist movement that brainwashed women into thinking that their priority is their career, and in the process of building their career they can forget to raise their children, forget how to cook, and forget how to take care of themselves, and forget how to keep their weight under 125 pounds. If a woman says she wants to stay at home to raise a family instead of pursuing her career, she's seen as weak and subservant to men and old-fashioned in a bad way. If she pursues her career, she's seen as strong and independent. Our society no longer values femininity. We need to give all these women testosterone therapy to complete their transition.
 
Women are not like this in Japan, China or Korea (or Singapore for that matter!)
Funny how Asian women are looked down on by Western women.
From my experience Western women are really racist against Asian women. I don't think Western women give a shit about 'The Sisterhood' they are just pissed off the are not getting the guys with money as much as they used to if at all, look at who Rupert Murdoch married! (Not that I think Murdoch is anything other than a c**t)

I often get jibes about my 'mail order bride' from Japan ( from financially stressed Australian women!). Hardly a mail order bride my wife is, she the daughter of a rich business tycoon. I'm more of a 'mail order husband to be honest. I was short of $40,000 a few years ago, my wife gave me the money in cash! Still hasn't asked for it back!!!How many women from the USA, Australia or England would do that?

Globalisation is not good for the womens movement it seems. I wonder why?

And she's still thin like when I met her, has cooked and cleaned for me for 10 years, and has been faithful, honest, almost no arguing (and I'm a difficult guy, so that's saying a lot), and I'm really glad I met her.

The longest I could stay with an American woman, before they'd cheat on me or argue and nag too much, was 2-3 years max. Japanese women rule!

p.s. plus, thanks to her I don't drink, don't eat junk food, instead I get fresh 2-3 course homecooked meals every day that taste great, and am perfectly healthy. So I am very grateful to her. And she's pretty.

I am absolutely sure being with a supportive and caring woman (very rare breed in the USA, Australia, Great Britain it seems) makes you better at this game than a narcisisstic, selfish, 'Western woman' with an overblown sense of entitlement.

Of course my wife has her moments (don't they all?) but I have never been happier in my life, I love my Japanese wife!

The most miserable times in my life and I am 43, have been when I have been in bad relationships with 'Western women'. (I was once dumped by a 'Western woman' because I refused to buy her a $15,000 car! I only knew her for 2 months!)

Good on you! I sincerely wish you all the best in your relationship with your Korean girlfriend.
