Florida high school under lockdown after reports of shooter, victims, police say

You are correct. I was focused on U.S. and Canada.... not Mexico.

Remember the assertion in the article is " 114 million Indians as a direct result of US actions". The focus is territory in the U.S., not Mexico. It should also be kept in mind that the U.S. only came into existence in 1776.

The Columbus bit threw me off. 10 million doesn't sound unreasonable honestly.... Seems like most historians put the number at 50+ for the Americas

Just trying to establish the time frame of the population reference --- because most assertions state the "white man" began killing off Indians after they came over by ship and appeared in the Americas.

The reality is that the majority of Indians in U.S. & Canada territory were killed by disease (not violence) - which was brought over from Europe. The second leading cause of Indian deaths were other Indian tribes. Indian tribes continually warred on one another and kept captured members of opposing tribes as slaves. Violence from white man is only third on the list.

On the subject of diseases - The diseases brought to this continent by the Europeans included bubonic plague, chicken pox, pneumonic plague, cholera, diphtheria, influenza, measles, scarlet fever, smallpox, typhus, tuberculosis, and whooping cough.

The exchange also brought New World diseases to the Old World including Syphilis, Polio, Hepatitis, and Encephalitis.

Certain enlightenment is required for why the hell some very powerful guns are being sold to general public citizens who use gun mainly for personal protection?

Can any seller or buyer of AR15 provide any sensible reasons?

Bulletproof backpack sales increase in wake of latest school shooting

IT’S horrific to think that school shootings are so common in the US now that parents are forking out hundreds for a special backpack to protect their kids.

The armour stopped the handgun rounds and shotgun pellets from completely penetrating the backpacks made by Guard Dog Security, according to WFTV.

But the backpacks, even with added textbooks, were unable to stop a full-metal jacket bullet fired from an AR-15, the kind of assault weapon used in this week’s bloodbath.

I agree disease was by far the major killer. The Spanish and Portuguese were more interested in making them slaves than killing them off

American Holocaust: D. Stannard (Oxford Press, 1992) - "over 100 million killed" "[Christopher] Columbus personally murdered half a million Natives"
"Over 100 million killed." Really? That eclipses World War II.

Christopher Columbus "personally murdered half a million Natives." Really? That's more than 5 X the total number of U.S. military deaths from Vietnam and the Korean war combined. Even killing 100/day, 365 days/year would take almost 14 years but Columbus didn't have that much time. So how, exactly, did he accomplish that amazing feat? With an "assault rifle"?
So your selfmade poster is pure nonsense.
You're the expert in posting "pure nonsense."
This is what AMERICANS think: https://www.marchforourlives.com/
I'm sure you know exactly what "AMERICANS" think from your private room in the asylum with internet access, thousands of miles from our shores.

1. Why use powerful guns, instead of usual guns for practicing shooting skills also entertainment.

My point is are people going to use more and more powerful guns in the future for hunting purpose?

2. As mentioned long time ago, I suggested to have a GPS tractor installed on every AR-15 gun in order to tracking and matching the location of each AR-15 gun according to its planned locations registered with local police's computer system. Such as where will be a hunting trip for the coming days.

When a potential killer stations around a school without the gun's GPS moving away from the school, the area police would be automatically altered to call immediately the gun holder and dispatch for inspection soonest if required.

The gun should not be operational at all once its GPS is removed.

3. The school should provide a large size locker stacking inside teaching rooms for storing two to four students per locker within each locker with the help of each other student (i.e. the higher locker should be filled first with the help from other students to be filled at the lowest locker), in case of encountering gun shooting.

Of course, the lockers must be specially made for bullet proof doors from AR15.

4. Both ways are designed to reduce the number of casualties due to limiting time and speed for the killing by the shooter, hopefully.

Some other effective ways should be also implemented. Such as underground rooms.

You would have a hard enough time trying to make law abiding people put this on their AR's, and how do you force this on the non law abiding citizens ?
