Finally a cop sticks up to blacks protesting police shootings

Wow. Sorry I raised your anxiety level with the PTSD idea. It was just a thought okay? If you don't think Police officers can get PTSD from working the job then whatever. If you don't think that could be a possible reason cops are shooting and killing more than they used to then that is okay too. Glad to hear the Klonopin is working for you vs. the 24/7 alcohol trip. Hope you don't have to ever come down off that Klonopin because it's a real bitch.

Lol! Cops DO get ptsd, and often. It's impossible to shoot a man from 8 feet, and not have issues that linger. Mine was suicide by cop, meaning he forced me, and the entire thing was a nightmare...
Other regular folks can get it too. Raped kids, serious car crash, near death kinda stuff, etc.,... It's a very common thing, and alcohol and drugs used to be the norm in self treatment. Now that people are leaning towards talking about it vs putting it in the closet back when (it was seen as something like herpes back when), much better things are coming as a result. I lead a meeting from time to time among Iraq/Afghan Vets, and the progress is amazing. No violent types among us. Nervous about incoming fire types, yes.
As for the problem with the cops, you've missed that one by a stratosphere. It's not ptsd causing these dick heads to occasionally shoot someone they've got no business shooting. Oh no! It's the breakdown of society thanks to your lib progressive mess, as well as an over militarized, extremely confused as to their true role, modern law enforcement. Add an all me, fuck you, outta my way upbringing to a group who doesn't know if they're domestic police officers or Army, and the results are what you read about...
Last, I'll take a 1/2 Clonazepam for a few days, then I may go two weeks without the need. My addiction was alcohol, and sex. Now I'll stick with my gf, and if I have to, a 1/2 tab medicine as needed that stops me from thinking I'm gonna lose even more of my Marines today...

^ Oh, and you mentioned Clonopin being a bitch to come off of. Well, I would imagine if one were abusing them, then yes. Xanax is even worse. Seizures, then death. No thanks. I take what I need only when I need it. Now if my gf would just cut out the smoking of mj in front of me. I've had to "test" it a few times to make sure she's gonna be ok. And talk about no need for Clonopin after that! Lol:D

PTSD doesn't stop with veterans. Most people who throw PTSD around as an excuse for someone's actions usually throw it in regards to a vet or a cop. PTSD is simply the result of any traumatic occurrence.

For those who don't know, this is EXACTLY CORRECT!

Example... I made an agreement with the Air Force to extend my non-combat overseas duty assignment for 6-months at their request... they agreed to discharge me at the end of that term. Well, they reneged.... said, they "needed my skills"... and sent me to another duty assignment. That little thingy totally totally changed my life... kept me out of medical school. I cannot express how much I was PISSED!

That wasn't all that much of a trauma compared to combat veterans, of course. But for the next 10-15 years, I had hundreds of nightmares of "being in the military, my discharge date is near or past, the military doesn't care, and I can't get anybody's attention to resolve it."

Fortunately I don't have those dreams any longer, but it surprises me how long they lingered. Imagine the impact upon the combat veteran's psyche.... facing gunfire, shooting at/killing other human beings... having buddies next to you get killed. Same for a police officer forced to shoot/kill a civilian.

PTSD is a real affliction. With WWII veterans, it was called "shell shock"... and it was no joke.

My WWII Grandfather was the epitome of shell shock. Practicing alcoholic up to death at age 79. Beer, wine, and whiskey. Got my first sip of real moonshine as a kid. Just glad I gave the poison up as I'm not a "normie" who can drink a few beers and be done. More like 15-16 a day within a 3 hour time period. Was bad medicine for me. Lol
