Relative deprivation, social stratification. I mentioned both of those, didn't I? Primates are unique this way. I did not mean to say that being poor inevitably causes violence. But I stand by my assertion that, on average, you are safer living and working in wealthier areas than you are in slums, ghettos, favelas, dumps, shanty towns, villas miserables, etc.

Studies? Do you have anything to back this up? I have seen no research that shows this. And btw, I'm not even talking about safety or violence, I'm talking about behavior. Acting like an animal. Most of these people in these videos are not CRIMINALS and I never stated they were. They simply have no proper behavior. Which last I checked was not a crime. So I have no idea why you are suggesting I live in a wealthy area. So I'm not buying your social stratification theory. Or relative deprivation. What does that even mean? BTW, all these incidents are happening in wealthy areas. At least middle class. So I really have no idea what you are talking about.

But what about if I'm in a Macy's on Michigan Ave in Chicago? I still have to deal with these people. Your theories offer nothing for me. Are you telling me I have to never go outside, never eat in a restaurant, never ride mass transit, travel on a plane, shop downtown. Jesus man, are you saying because of these "animals", I can never leave my house? What have you liberals done to this country? You ruined it man!

Mav, this is the future. We are supposed to get used to it and shut our mouths.
If we complain or say, "things used to be better" we are simply ungrateful for the true gifts of diversity from the third world.
It is not "them" that is the problem, it is us. Our bad attitude makes "them" behave that way. If they loot, rape, rob, create a public menace, bring backwards cultures that brutalize women to our shores, it is all our fault.
