Female Reporters are being turned away from the House of Representatives for wearing sleeveless tops

Go read the article I posted from some context.

You and others stated there was no dress code - at noted in the New York Time there has been a written dress code for decades.

The question regarding the enforcement of the dress code is a different manner. However the enforcement on reporters has been going on for a long time including requiring male reporters to where jackets and ties.

Again the NR and the Yahoo article never mention that the 'sleeveless top' policy was enforced - only that there was a dress code. Ryan decided on this specific dress code, Pelosi didn't enforce any sleeveless top policy.

She was too busy enforcing jackets and ties on the men. It should be noted that female reporters and staff members were bright enough during her era not to show up in sleeveless attire. It is only the new crop of young female reporters who think for some reason they can get away with violating the long standing standards of dress on Capital Hill.

So no evidence that Pelosi ever enforced such a 'ban', thanks for pointing that out. And how dare these young female reporters wear those tops and hoped to get away with it!

Let's look at the facts as outlined by long term Capital Hill reporter, Kasie Hunt.

'One particularly conspicuous headline from Mic suggested that "Women aren't allowed to wear sleeveless tops in the House chambers, thanks to Paul Ryan." Hunt took exception to that claim.

"This is simply wrong," Hunt wrote on Twitter. "The Speakers' Lobby dress code has been this way for decades."

"Can be argued it should change — but let's be factual," she wrote.'

'Hunt said the ban had been enforced her entire time working on Capitol Hill, more than ten years.

This time period included Rep. Nancy Pelosi's (D., Calif.) term as House speaker, a fact Hunt specifically highlighted.'

There are no reports of Pelosi enforcing it, even your article claimed that things 'changed' since 2009 after Michelle Obama.

Well either you can believe long-term Capital Hill reporters or you can believe your own fiction.
