Actually these rules have been in place for decades are supported by Democrats and Republicans.
As a note, it a male reporter showed up in a sleeveless shirt they would also be turned away.
Nonsense
"The same report alleges that this new and apparently very strict policy was coined by Speaker Ryan. The only written rule is that women should wear “appropriate attire,” and what constitutes “appropriate attire” for women is reportedly up to Ryan’s discretion."

The written policy has been on the books for decades.
Show me this written policy on sleeveless tops.
Hint: There isn't any.
Go read up on the history of the Congressional dress code...
Paul Ryan Did Not Create a Sexist Dress Code for the House Floor

There is absolutely NOTHING on sleeveless tops in the dress code, it's upto the Speaker's discretion, he made them 'illegal', don't blame the generic code.
Good luck with your assertions... as noted even the NYT retracted it.
Nobody denied that there was a dress code, the assertion was about the specificity. Michelle Obama wore a sleeveless top to the House when Pelosi was speaker, when was she turned away.
