To be fair, everything we know doesn’t amount to anything but that’s all we know. A lot of the accusations surrounding this uranium deal are preposterous, or at least as represented by right wing pundits.
But, that doesn’t mean everything is on the up and up within the deal or since the deal. I especially don’t trust the Trump’s administration of anything having to do with or involving Russia or Russians.
I still have confidence in the rank and file, career service agents and prosecutors at DOJ and I don’t mind them reviewing this deal. How long the career people at DOJ can withstand this administration is another question and something we should all keep a careful eye on.
For how long is a question. An amazingly small world with Trump, his pick to head DOJ criminal division.. The server in Trump Tower was connected to which bank? Jeez..
"President Trump’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s criminal division, Brian A. Benczkowski, has disclosed to Congress that he previously represented Alfa Bank, one of Russia’s largest financial institutions, whose owners have ties to President Vladimir V. Putin,” the New York Times’s Charlie Savage and Adam Goldman reported last night. “Alfa Bank was at the center of scrutiny last year over potential ties between the Trump campaign and Russia after computer experts discovered data suggesting a stream of communications between a server linked to the Trump Organization and a server linked to the bank."
