Feds seek Google records in pornography probe

You would hope the Feds would find something more important to investigate. Don't they have anything better to concern themselves with?

Like maybe...National Security.

It bothers me more that they concern themselves with issues like porn, than whether they are "spying" on citizens who might communicate with our enemies.

I don't know if Goog is right or wrong to resist, but why should it be such a concern to the Feds?

Two issues here.. this ought to put a further scare into lots of people using Gmail...

The only thing you can do is write your senators and your congressional representative. Tell them how displeased you are with how the current federal government doesn't seem to care about civil rights.

Then vote the GOP out of office every chance you get.
 
Unless you are a known radical muslim with ties to terrorism or a sexual predator, you have nothing to worry about. They're not interested in what the everyday net surfer is up to.

Tax dollars hard at work protecting children from predators... not porn in general. I don't have a problem w/ that. I'm a hell of a lot more concerned w/ spyware on my computer, slowing it down.

I'm aware of your point, but Im just trying to make mine as well. I realize I'm alone on this thread!! My point is that it's not the "vast- right wing- big- brother- like- conspiracy" the media makes it out to be.
I'm happy to hear they've been attempting to prevent future terrorist attacks. I'm also happy to hear they're attempting to crack down on sexual predators. Nobody here has anything to worry about as far as being spied on is concerned.
