Solving a math problem is different, but that is still an outlier. There are reasons geniuses like jim simons collaborate with others----

Trading needs capital, brains, and talent. Its would be extremely rare to have all 3 in one person. Not impossible, but i have never seen it.
Trading needs capital? What does that mean? Taking risk with other people's money?

asking for proof again?

No. just logic. Bottom line is you either need to be already wealthy or use OPM to make it in the trading business. The non level playing field and negative sum nature makes this true in 99.9% of all cases. Exceptions? I guess, same as powr ball lottery winners. I have never seen one.

No, just chuckling at how big the operation grew-- not the opportunity itself.

When i worked for a HF in NYC, we tested over 100 supposed winning elite traders for funding. 99% failed and this is vetted guys with proven track records.

Some of these people were still posting here with large followings up until recently

Only 1 trader had a real edge and its nothing u could ever imagine.
That one guy who did well, where is he now?Is he still working for them?
Happy and healthy New Year!

why would successful tradetr need funding?

ever though t about that?

your results confirm that you tested strategy of elite morons

I agree with your sentiment,
You only need so much money to get the snowball rolling into an avalanche -- if you're truly skilled in trading.

Anybody who is asking for money...I view them as just making their living off of commissions and management fees. o_O:banghead:

So lets say youre making a solid 20% consistently and that you have a starting capital of 1m usd.

Now lets say you manage 250m$ with the same return and get 20% of performance fee

Basic math would tell you that youre wrong
