And what exactly has the democrats "war on poverty" done to improve this situation? We have spent trillions of dollars on entitlements, and what has it done to help?
The fact of the matter is when you subsidize behaviour you get more of it, if you subsidize good behavior, like going to school, or tax breaks for running businesses, etc... you get more of it...
When you subsidize poor behaviour through welfare, entitlements, giving away extra money to people who have kids they cant afford, you get more of that behaviour.... All that the entitlement programs democrats have created have served to do, is create a permanent underclass of poor people of all races who will consistently go in and pull the lever for democrats, against their own best interests.
And the saddest part is that the group of people the democrats have fucked over the most, throughout history is black people, yet for some reason unbeknownst to me they go in and pull the lever for them time and time again. Alfonzo Rachel points out in his video, that a large part of the reason for this is because democrats lie, and try to re write the history books.

What did switch.
After the Republicans voted in greater numbers then the Democrats to pass LBJ's civil rights, the switch was made.
The racist southern democrats lost power and their ideas faded into history. The Republicans are taking over the South and offering freedoms to all Americans.
So much so that the Blacks stuck in the segregated Northern racist Democratic cities have left in the millions to go to the new Republican South.
