Evolution - A Weak Argument for the Anti-Supernatural?

And consider this:

http://www.junkscience.com/news/kasparov.html

Here is a guy who is willing to admit that Kasparov's brain is downright scary. When Kasparov faced up against Big Blue he was facing "a 2,800 pound IBM RS/6000 SP supercomputer rigged with more than 500 microprocessors capable of analyzing about 200 million chess positions every second." Kasparov dang near beat this thing.

Now how did that kind of incredible computing power occur in just a few million years? And, again, why? Why competitive advantage does a human being get from being super-intelligent? Not much really.

Or could it be that he needed to be super-intelligent to understand the things of God?

This old thread of Nitro's btw discusses the movie if anyone is interested:

Quote from ShoeshineBoy:

Sorry, but that's not traditional Darwinism. Traditionalism Darwinism is built on a backbone of natural selection and competitive advantage.

Why would natural selection build a super-Cray, super-Lightworks SuperRobot?

The answer is "it wouldn't" and that makes no friggin sense. There is no competitive advantage that can be gained from any of this.

And you're avoiding the other part of my question: how in a few million years could the human brain be built to a level far beyond the technology of today?

Again, the answer is that there is no way it reasonably could w/o some kind of supernatural intervention...

It's clear that you have no clue what evolution is. Go read Darwin then we can discuss.

BTW, the human brain didn't evolve from vacuum in a few million years. It evolved from a monkey brain, which was already far superior than any machine we can build today, if survival was the metric.

This is truly laughable. If humans developed a "super intelligent" brain to understand the things of God, why do you think humans developed masturbation skills? To understand pornography?

Quote from ShoeshineBoy:

Before I say anything, let me state that I am a Christian that believes that evolution is responsible for a great deal of life on this earth.

What can die was never alive.

This world is the picture of attack by everything on everything.

It is not a "Christian" world. And my kingdom has nothing to do with it.

What seems to be "alive", and what is called "life" is an illusion.

Just because something walks around on two or four legs does not mean it is alive as God creates life.

Nothing that God creates dies, ever, for any reason.

For that matter, nothing he creates ever changes.

Jesus

Good lord, I didn't know that "nothing" was created by God...

"why do you think humans developed masturbation skills?"

Only a statement as ridiculous as this could come from the "scientific" minded.

Oh my goodness, that's a great skill set you got working for you there...no doubt you work hard and long on perfecting that skill set. Something you are likely very proud of...

An instinctual drive is considered a skill set by a "scientific" minded person?

ROTFLMAO...

Masturbation is optional so I have no idea what your'e getting at that there. So let's talk about sex I guess: sex is essential for reproduction. What wouldn't that be inevitable?

I think what you're missing is that, in the case of the universe, it is remarkable that it is self-organizing. It is similar with evolution on planet earth...

Ah, that's so much better. No sense in hiding behind a new pseudonym after you've been "outed." Welcome back.

False accusations seem to be the way of the "scientific" mind as one wanker attempts to defend another...
