Americans dont wear masks during flu season.
Japanese do wear masks regularly during flu season.
Just compare the cases of flu as a % of population. Americans don't want to fight the flu because many get vaccinated. How many people are vaccinated from COVID again, I forget...
Restaurants and cafes are supposed to have tables that are spaced out so it would seem reasonable to take off your mask to eat just like if you were walking in the park outside not near anyone.
Anyone who makes an issue about the mask usually falls in the COVID is a hoax family for the most part.
Many people have died from COVID withno preexisting condition or were younger than 65. How do you know you are not in the at risk group until you are on a ventilator dying? Just wear the fucking mask if you want to go in places.
Anyone who makes an issue about the mask falls in the COVID is a hoax family? What a load of complete and total horseshit. You know, just because people see the world in a different light than you do doesn't mean they are wrong. The arrogance is astonishing.
Here are the numbers for Florida since the pandemic began. As of 9/27.
If you are under 65, you have a .001632 chance of death from COVID. And, by the way, this is judging the deaths/cases with the case count being verifiable, tested cases. It doesn't count all the people who weren't tested and had COVID, which means the actual number is
much, much lower.
So yeah, people who have nothing to fear are rightly annoyed at your whole "you wear a mask to keep me safe, I wear a mask to keep you safe" silliness. I don't need you to keep me safe, I'm already safe.
As for the flu having a vaccine, sure. If you get the right strain. But still, over the age 65, 100 people on average die of the flu out of 100,000. That is a .001 death rate, despite there being a vaccine to the flu. Yet, I'm never told to wear a mask during flu season to "keep others safe".
Additionally, you haven't commented as to why country after country has stated guidance that "there is no scientific basis that provides guidance for the general population to wear masks" (Norway, above) or how masks can provide "more harm than good as people believe they are safe and don't practice correct hygiene" (Denmark, above) or any one of a dozen other countries in Europe I can quote.
So you just want us to do as we're told. I get it. But not all of us just do things because we are told to. We kinda want to understand the why, and if the why doesn't make sense, expect a challenge.
