Ever had a supernatural experience?

Quote from MarketRabbi:

Right, Axeman, of course. It's just an amazing coincidence that my great-aunt in her 80 years of life never dreamed of her brother coming to tell her that he's dead. Except for right after it happened. Just a coincidence...

A relative of mine once sent a card to a close married friend of mine saying congratulation on their new baby. My friend called her back completely freaked out as they had just found out they were pregnant and had not told anyone. This relative of mine realized afterward that she must have had a vivid dream, because she was absolutely certain that my friend had told her that they were pregnant...

Things like that happen. They don't account for much. Coincidences: the collective subconscious- Carl Jung.

Quote from rowenwood:

I'm just expressing myself, and now you've gone and brought Darwin into the debate.
Do you believe in Darwinism? Why do you mistake that I'm trying to be subtle?

And fuck your fascist relevancy, and, not that my ramblings are any less relevant than the shit you write, or that my statements are more rambling than your incompetency.

You're beginning to upset me, and when upset I'm also often quite hateful.

Ask yourself why you are trying to turn this into a anti-supernatural debate and fill the thread with irrelevant barbs. Please, just leave us alone - there is no point to what you are doing. We all know what you and axe and longshot and gordon gekko believe. Now let someone else talk for awhile...

Quote from MarketRabbi:

Looks like TradeOff's trying to prove you wrong :(
I'm not trying to prove ShoeshineBoy wrong. He's a personal friend of mine.

What are you talking about??

Quote from axeman:

Excuse me.... but I never mentioned religion ANYWHERE in my reply.

Learn to read.

Hmmm.... now why would you WANT to convey that im
trying to turn this into a religious debate, when this is
clearly not the case?

Oh oh ... im officially one of the "they" guys. LOL :p
Were all out to get you shoe! LOL :p

Excuse me... but what are you talking about?

Where is the "coincidence" part of this story??
Are you saying that your grandma dreamed that her
brother came to her and told her the he is dead,
and then LATER she found out that he really was?

Explain.

Quote from rowenwood:

No offense, but at the age of 80 most people are feeble minded. My grandma is.

No offense, but that is SUCH a feeble answer. Would you mind finding me another old person who wrote such a letter, and right after it happened? Puh-leeze!

I thought I was your best friend TO.

Shoe wonders why we have such hostility towards spirits, gods and relgiosity. He fucking onders why. FUcking!

Ha, ha, becuase we are forced to put up with god here, god there, preached everywhere, interupting me, distubing me, forced upon me. Ever other idiot has some sort god or religious charm around the neck. God is on my dollars, at the baseball games in the conversations, tv books magazines. God in the fucking art, the music lyrics, in my soup bowl you asshole. Don't pretend that we treat you unfairly. Your shit is everywhere intruding upon our lives: Fuck off first and make good on your rudeness then we'll leave you alone.

My Jewish relative, you're fucked.

Whooopie.... are you claiming that with billions of people
on earth, this "case" should never happen?

This is where people like you shoe, get it all confused.
(Similar to many other stories.... EX: you get a feeling someone
is involved in an accident/died. You call..its true! WOW!!! NOT! :D )

Let me ask you this... how many times in the world has
a person dreamed that a friend got pregnant, and called,
or wrote to congratulate them, when this was in fact
not the truth ????

Lets say this occurrence happened X times.

It is a statistical FACT, that Y% of the time, they WILL BE CORRECT
based on a PURE CHANCE. You cant argue this.
IT MUST HAPPEN. If it DIDNT happen, then THAT
would prove there is actually something strange going on.
Kinda like rolliing a dice that never comes up 6, no matter how
many times you roll it.

So now I ask you.... what is your EVIDENCE, that THIS CASE
lies OUTSIDE of what we would expect based on simple probability???

Yeah...thats what I thought :D
