@oraclewizard77 Since NT7 does not have attach to indicator functionality, you could alternatively replicate it with custom code, but it is going to be a lot more coding.

The built in stop strategies with ATM are just a fixed amount to trail by, whereas attaching the stop to an indicator opens up a lot more flexibility.

Well there are some indicators that I use in NT7 that don't seem to be available in NT 8 which is why I did not make the switch. One being the ability to auto generate HL, HH, LH, LL. Do you want me to e-mail you these NT 7 indicators and you can use them for yourself, and maybe you can update them to work with NT 8? I actually do IT work 40 hours per week non programming so I only trade at night or if I am sick and not working that day.

  • Great day! After a strong start to the month, increased from 1 to 2 contracts today.
  • Looking for the same opening trade setups
  • Today came 1 tick away from being stopped out, but it reversed for a great start to trading 2 contracts.

The opening trade on 5/4 was a loser, but the 2nd trade made up for it and ended the day up.

Methodology:
  1. Automated trailing stop loss 1 tick below/above previous bar
  2. Only enter trades after 8:30am CST open
  3. Stop after the first winner, or two consecutive losers.
  4. Skip the day if there's no setup within the first hour.
Looking at my screenshots, the setups are all very simple because of the 5 minute chart, which really helps simplify the price action.

I have been recording the live morning session daily, but haven't found a good way of sharing it because it's about 1 hour per day which ends up being over 1gb. I may just do a live stream instead. Either way will share it.
