Classic strong accumulation up today. I miss last month when everyday (first half of the month) had a clean 1-2-3 pattern at open...

  • Skipping the stop loss trail on inside bar has been working out really well! Overall has made a lot more than the times it led to a larger loss.
  • I received many questions amongst my group about today's trade so I wrote out the rules on the chart.

  • Recorded a quick scalp at open today.
  • Had it not been stopped out, the downtrend continued for +37 ticks!

  • The entry setup today was waiting for the first bar to close to give direction. It was a failed breakout so placed a sell stop limit order 1 tick below it. Unfortunately stopped out for a 5 tick loss, but was +12 ticks at one point
  • Today is turning out to be a low volatility churn day. It's already been 2 hours since market open and the entire trading range is only 9 points.

  • No setups today during the 1st hour.
  • Had a sell stop limit order placed 5 minutes into open, hoping for the breakout the continue, but had to cancel the order when the 2nd bar didn't trigger it.
