ES broke declining TL as that long NQ signal went off.. Shouldn't a trader take such a trade long.. yes or no? Point is instead of thinking.. "I'll short 1202" how about I'll go long now as I don't know how far it could go?

I'm sure a ton of people bought the open at 1193+- with no stop and made a killing by 4pm. Amazing how the longs always win! Now if I could only bring myself to put my stops out 6-8 pts, I could be making a killing too.

im a believer, but there is a real possibility that they mess up more shorts to 1230, just like volente mentioned about 123 call interest. maybe the whole last week was just a left shoulder. k im gonna go cry now.

Looking back at a chart after the fact makes it so clear that 'if' you had done this or if you had done that.

I mean no disrespect b/c you're probably making some of your money off me but to say something like that is ridic.

Speechless.. If one is going to be biased at least be so in the direction of the trend..

I'm a noob so ignoring me is best advice... but, if your capital can stand it... shorting that area was a low risk trade. I blew mine in that area (tiny profit, no loss) because I have Time Of Day rules I had to honor but still felt OK with it. I'm still looking at ES 1213 as a potential medium term top so shorting in the 1206 area doesn't seem nuts. No stops, would be nuts because if we make new highs, all bets are off. My worthless .02

Honestly, we wouldn't be discussing this 'if' the market kept going down.

Funny thing is, I do pay attention to your comments and I even went long three times on the run up, unfortunately got stopped out on two of them (short stops will do that).

I just find it funny when someone says something like 'if you had' because hindsight is always 20/20. And its definitely not just you who says/has said that.

my point here was not "coulda woulda" ... just an observation that there seem to be a lot more shorts than longs on this board, consistently, which is, under the circumstances, puzzling.

having said that, i went 100% short a few moments before the close ... for the first time this year.

I attached a sim blotter from yesterday when I sim traded CL pre news to see what would happen.

Also is my ES blotter from today.

There's a difference, like the sim account says "Simulated Trading" and the live account says "Yes you can really pay your bills with this."
