triva question for the day, can markets be predicted with any certainty? It seems a simple question, if I go long here I have a 50/50 chance of being right; why is trading so difficult then? done for the day, watch out for those trannies they have taken a beating today, good trading.
All of these Longs in a market showing a:
1. confirmed downtrend in all of the major US financial indicies;
2. weak bankers that are dropping through the floor; and
3. rising VIX
They should rename this thread to Russian Roulette Traders 'R Us!

If you go Long here you have a substantially less than 50% chance of being correct ... but rolling dice is fun too!

You are completely wrong....most of us here that day trade have no bias intraday. With that in mind we are free to go long and short as we please depending on the timeframe traded.
We can all see the channel that was broken that has been posted repeatedly for the past week. That doesnt change the aspect of risk/reward on a trade when you have a looming gap above you or when you have a significant support level.
edit: I am sure you will see by tomorrow why the longs were called...
short 82.50-83.50, stop 87, target 77
