Ask them how many shorts they murdered in 00-01 on the short cover rallies that killed even the pros.

murdered?heh

I remember those days.those were vicious rallies.

that one time I think it was a JUly 4th weekend and we had a 4 hour session.I think the ES opened flat and rallied something like 80 pts in 4 hours.Just went straight up from the open to close.YM went up something like 500 or 550.

It was incredible.

Just had a quick look at the daily charts from that time. I really didn't see a definitive long bias on T and Th. My feeling is that anyone who gets their head handed to them in the markets is not using proper position sizing. It is nearly impossible to get whacked when position sizing is correct and stops are outside the noise. :)

Using T day theory is probably ok if properly sized, as with any strategy. I do not subscribe to T day Theory however or rule of 10. They rely on timeframes that are much smaller than I am interested in.

Volume is an essential indicator for short-term and intraday trading. After all, this is an auction market governed by the laws of supply and demand, and these laws cannot be understood without looking at volume.

Volume is less important the longer one goes out. Long-term traders might not need it all.

I disagree, I find that volume increases after I enter position off a pattern, why should I wait for volume to pick up? TY!

But it does need volume to stay, without the volume confirming you will just get reversion back to the mean.

Actually, price needs no volume to move and stay.
