I don't use volume like that. Volume is to me evidence of participation. Volume tends to be heavier at turning points--the beginning and ending of trends, on an intraday basis.

good point. I find it harder to short because the moves down are so fast and when they cover, they cover quick. You will see them keep attacking the lows of the day, gotta have direct access to see it in its glory. Counter trend scalping here is good though.
