It will most likely build a plateau in this zone, similar to other price extensions.

Like B1S2, says the probability is with the longs, and I would wait for proof that key levels to the downside are breaking to get short.
 
Dow 14,000 magnet trade, and buystops that may be just beyond that 14,000 level - anyone think we are going to break that barrier today and trigger all of the buystops from breakout traders?
 
The local media was hyping to the public this morning that it was time to get into the markets. I've been waiting for that all summer.

Oh I see, so before they even have time to setup and fund their accounts get some outstanding performance stocks in their portfolio and optimize their 401's the markets going to tank?

Stocks Trade Higher As Dow, S&P 500 Hit Record

Stocks traded higher, with the Dow and the S&P 500 at record levels, as buyout speculation boosted telecom shares and investors remained optimistic about upcoming earnings reports. "I think this is the realization there's a lot of money out there that missed the rally in the first half that's chasing performance," Arthur Hogan, managing director at Jefferies, told CNBC.com. "Corporate earnings have, at worst, been benign and in some cases better than expected and I think that is what is driving things here."
