I think it might be a false breakout, and you can get in at a better price latter in the session, I haven't seen prices just blow-up (with no retracement) like this very often.

edit: right, you're talking EOD and I'm thinking intra-day ... I see why you don't day-trade anymore.

I could have started a separate thread for this, but you guys are the only ones I care about, LOL

Every quarter I investigate brokerages and get quotes. Last week I clicked on an ET banner for DirectFills, which I never heard of.

They sound good... here's highlites

* IB for Man Financial
* 5K min acct opening
* No daily or monthly trade quota
* 50% intraday margins
* $1 commish + fees for minis =
3.32 RT all-in for ES
2.84 RT all-in for YM
8.00 RT all-in for pits.

Will demo platform later this week.

This is not a recommendation, just posting what I think is a solid deal. FWIW, I communicated with Ryan Fox.

wash out as expected due to option expiry....... bastards.... would be taking prof1 here at 1415 for a 16 point gain on a 2 pt stop...

yep and now short at 1415.50 with a 1 pt stop to get em back

looking for 1410 for prof 1 1405 for prof2 and then letting my runners go to 1400 or lower with a trail stop.

They will probably try to pop it up one more time. Therefore if I am stopped out I may reenter if its just a washout move to exhaustion. If we get a confirmed breakout we most likely get a move up to 1428-1431 over the week where I will be reentering short.

Today is my birthday... this trade would be a nice present from the markets.
 
I was pissed about that as well -- I held my spincter tight and held over the weekend. It payed off for once !!

Flat as of now. We could get a frenzy of buying and retrace much further this week IMO.
