yep and now short at 1415.50 with a 1 pt stop to get em back

looking for 1410 for prof 1 1405 for prof2 and then letting my runners go to 1400 or lower with a trail stop.

They will probably try to pop it up one more time. Therefore if I am stopped out I may reenter if its just a washout move to exhaustion. If we get a confirmed breakout we most likely get a move up to 1428-1431 over the week where I will be reentering short.

I will be moving profit 1 to 1411.25 due to support in the area. Prof 2 at 1408 and then trail stop on last unit.

Happy Birthday Apex82

Is your general strategy to go all in on three contracts, and then scale out - or do you also scale in at times?

Thanks man. I generally trade 3 units per trade. ie for me one unit =15 contracts for er2 and 30 contracts for ES.

I always have one unit at the zone, a unit for an add on at a predetermined price and usually a last unit after the zone is showing confirmation. Such as a pullback after a support is taken out, a sell stop or a breakout reversal bar. This allows me to trade in the zone because of the different entry points.

I always scale out because there is no guarantee that the market will do what I want. Scaling out enables me to keep the right mindset to adjust and manage the trade appropiately.

For me, nothing is worse then a huge profit being shown only to come all the way back and take you out by a tick or 2 for a loss. It is trades like these that bring up emotions that make me want to revenge trade, increase size, see things in the charts that are not as high of a probability. I found out early that I succomb to all of these patterns when I do not take some off the table when my analysis is correct.

This is what works for me, everyone is different. I hope this helps. The feeling of being in a trade with absolutely no fear is truly amazing.

Yeah, Happy Birthday Big Pisces.

Thanks for the input and in-sight.

This is a good place to be and I think you know your opinion is respected around here.

happy B-Day Apex,
I appreciate your participation. May all your trades be filled and love and laughter to you and yours.

Thanks guys

Well a nice day to play on the outer extremes and not get mixed in with the range. Still holding short from 1415.50 with one remaining unit with a stop at 1416.75.

ES is just treading water with spikes in a range... hope you guys were able to stick on the sidelines. Lets see if this can breakout into the close... doubtful though. Looks like 1411 will hold as anticipated earlier.

hello trading friends...can you tell me why one would want to trade the ES when the ER gives a 1 point value of $100 and .10 spread and ES gives a one 1 point value of $50 and .25 cent spread?...please share..thanks!!
