and even if you don't like carboni, he may be having an effect on the market. interesting that the market is turning at his proclaimed buy point after a nice drop from 0830est.

Carboni is an entertaining guy. Kind of reminds me of the actor, Tom Sizemore. But, I wouldn't put money with a guy who reportedly failed to make enough money from trading to pay for his seat on the exchange, began missing mortgage payments, etc.

every master was once a disaster. His past failings have probably given him more focus and incentive to change. Plus the guy has a family.....that alone is enough to throw out your ego enough to do what is necessary...to win

I like the guy but if you notice all he is doing is say buy the dips at support in a bull market. What is so special about that ?

Agree, seen it so many times.

Almost went to lunch, but glad I didn't.

The market ticked to 1464.00 and dropped back down, saw it coming and moved protective stop to 1465 ... any bets 1464 will be the high of the day?

Short signal still in place, holding overnight.

Good trading,

JJ

I just closed this trade out at 1457 after getting a valid buy signal.

+3.0 pts.

Amazing.

This Bull is pretty irresolute. Oh well, at least I have a much better technical way to view price action.

I'd like to buy, but I'm going to just chill for a minute.

Good trading,

JJ

volente carboni says short at 1458 and change.

Good short-term, but as long as 1452.50 holds the perma-bulls and pure technicians are going to just see it as buying the market at a better price.

When it gets there, and if it holds (shoutout to Apex82 :p) I'm going to get on board.

Bet this thing closes above the Open!

JJ

edit. That's the great thing about being a technical trader. You don't get to trade your opinions, you're conditioned to trade what you see and you tend to not get hurt.

I was talking with a friend last nite about trading and showing him some of my Buy and Sell levels, and he mentioned that "if I were to stagger my entries I would never take much of a loss, if any", to which I replied, "yeah, but then you would need something like 6k-8k per setup when trading the ES (staggering entries, holding overnight), similar margins for any other indice for which you need to hold over-night", his reply was "make your money slow".

Dow holding support, so I'm longing S&P @ 1457.25, if it starts dipping again, I'll lhold for now, look to leg-in at some future date as I see how these trades play-out.

Good trading,

JJ

Anyone been trading the er2 today? Its been rough, wish I had been trading the es today. This thing better get up to those zones before rolling over...
