yesterdays volume if u use the 1/2 hour bars was slightly in favor of buyers, they held it under 84 and pushed it down at the close, today they are holding it under 63,my suspicion would be acccumuation, there are no real #s coming out til next fri

And sometimes when you take, it goes the other way :)

Quote from princessa:

last night i was looking at the es...it was at 65. i was thinking of taking a long and riding to 71 or so. i told my husband about it, but said i was afraid to take it b/c the 830 news could make it go awry. he said, "how much money will you make if it works?" i told him. he then said, "what happens if it doesn't?" i told him "i lose a bunch" he said don't take the trade, so i didn't.

looking at the movement today, it went right up to my sell point, then backed off. i sorta wished i had had the guts to take the play, but i guess caution is the better part of valor...sigh...

isn't it ironic when you get it right but don't take the play? when it would have worked out EXACTLY as you planned but you lacked the guts to take it?

todays is 850 dvol and 350 uvol so far in the es,lets see how these shorts cover at the close, mins, that is why i was buying the new low yest aftnoon,it just didnt work out

Wow this mkt is a tad confused on what direction to go.
A normal summer doldrum that would put anyone to sleep. But considering that this is not your typical summer, it's anybody's guess.

No liquidity so market can be pushed around. This could hit 70
on the close...

Quote from OldTrader:

Virtually no downside breadth today. In fact, I'm surprised the indexes are even down.

Window dressing. Will be denied at the previous low and that bad boy will be like 1400 hundred was for bulls: a nightmare.

Look at that top, man. It's over. They just don't want to kill it today.

Quote from vertigo3:

Turn at 53?

Floor trader pivot points calculated using the H-L-C from yesterday's RTH session have S2 at 1252.50, this could have encouraged pivot point players to take a stab on the longside (because it wass the first test of this area).

Or maybe they were just taking r10 signals !

Do not get into the habit of looking back. Don't think just act on what your signals are saying. This is a game of probabilities and over the long run you will hurt your profitability by not taking the trades that your signals give you. This behavior can also develop into traders block if you are not careful.
