Quote from JimmyJam:
Hi romik, how's the trading going?
I posted that information so Osorico could see how I dealt with a trade that goes over 2pts against my initial entry, but with there still being a Short signal in effect.
The underlying bullish tone to the market caused price action to continue to move against the position, even though it was a good entry.
He had mentioned earlier that he was flexible in his stop placement, based on volatility and other factors (that he doesn't really need to go into).

It's nice to post here with such a compilation of traders. You've got everything from atticus and his heavy institutional trading experience (prolly from one of the top 10 IB's) to Saxon22, with his seat of the pants, bravura, I'll make money as I learn attitude, to other scalpers, like Oso, Apex82, mbusch and everything in-between.
Lots to be gained from the associations ...
Good trading,
JJ
Glad to be here learning. And if putting 1 to 2 cars on the lot to gain market experience is considered a brvado attitude then I will roll with the punches.
However, you are right. In the past right after increasing my account substantially, I did place a 50 lot order, and once it went two ticks in my favor, I got rid of it. I felt like I was going 200 mph on a motorcycle in midtown Manhattan. That $2500 was sweet, but I would have to wear diapers to continue doing it. That stunt was never repeated again.
