Hm, and you were telling me that averaging down is just bad bad bad & that you would never do a stupid thing like that. A bit hypocritical, wouldn't you say?

Hi romik, how's the trading going?

I posted that information so Osorico could see how I dealt with a trade that goes over 2pts against my initial entry, but with there still being a Short signal in effect.

The underlying bullish tone to the market caused price action to continue to move against the position, even though it was a good entry.

He had mentioned earlier that he was flexible in his stop placement, based on volatility and other factors (that he doesn't really need to go into).

It's nice to post here with such a compilation of traders. You've got everything from atticus and his heavy institutional trading experience (prolly from one of the top 10 IB's) to Saxon22, with his seat of the pants, bravura, I'll make money as I learn attitude, to other scalpers, like Oso, Apex82, mbusch and everything in-between.

Lots to be gained from the associations ...

Good trading,

JJ

Why only 2 point stop? If 1540 breaks you could see it go down to 1537.
'Cause 2 points is the maximum risk Vol is willing to take on this trade. Do I gotta 'splain everything? :) :) :)

SR ranges are tight once again today, but not in the way that compressed yesterday's range.

The opening order wants to short this '42 to 1533

Hourly chart is attempting a rollover, but I view it right now as a pullback scenario with a greater chance of more upside. 1552 needs to be challenged first I would think before an extended drop, which of course may not come. Staying long right now.

Ideally the short would be allowed (filtered 'on') over 1544-45. With the pivot filter on, I should NOT be able to short at the bottom of the range, we are there now. The '44 and above would allow that. I will wait, but then will have to wait for another order which may not form.
