I agree - but why can't it go back to the highs one more or time or possibly even overshoot towards 3k before ultimately rolling over towards 2550-2650'ish??

Maybe, but nothing says it has to be tomorrow. The market had its panic. Now ti can go about its bidness taking any route it please to whatever place it wants to go.

This is true, but they can help in our bias, because these reports can affect movement. I realize they are not the end-all-be-all of direction, but maybe they can provide some sentiment?
