Common sense would tell one that this is the correct way to look at it. Gaps are gaps in price printings. If you went the other way, you would be keeping track of "gaps" all over the place and that just has no basis in any kind of reality.

Look, I get what you are saying, but you can't just take it upon yourself to redefine a trading term that means the same thing for every other trader in the world, and has done so for over 100 years, and expect everyone to follow you. I'm not trying to argue. I just want to make the point that YOU are defining "gap" YOUR way, while everyone else in the world follows the standard, commonly accepted definition. Whatever works for you is great. But you simply cannot redefine a term without getting permission from Webster's first ;)

and expect everyone to follow you.
I do not expect anyone to follow me, rather I have said repeatedly, "do not follow me". I am simply posting here for accountability to myself. I will occasionally pass along strong risk management guidelines but I expect noone to follow what I am doing nor do I ask anyone to do so. You must be your own guru.

Absolutely super-charged move ready for next week. It's more likely that it will be to the downside, but would certainly not be surprised if it's higher.
