In fairness to Mr. V, he has a couple of times. As I understand it, here t'is

ES tends to retrace 10 points from a "major" intra-session inflection point.

What constitutes "major," however, is your call.
at the moment its 44 ,10 points off the night session low

yeah, but 34 was r10 off 44, so it's see-saw then?

My problem with r10, in a nutshell
its just another tool,if u use it enough it gets simpler,if use it rarely, you will have a a fuzzy understanding of it,i know how a crane works but a crane operator can place the tip of it on a dime

Isn't that what I said?

I agree that the see saw effect is troubling, but the second swing usually gets disregarded. At least that's the conclusion I came up with forward testing different swing highs and lows.

I should clarify my statement on "caution" of entering around an R10. The point was not to long at an uptrend exhaustion at r10 because it may reverse, and likewise for a short.

Yes, we were posting sorta simultaneously. If I'd seen your post I wouldn't have thrown up mine.

Frankly, I like yours better.

caution around areas that are 10 points from a swing high or low. If you are long approaching an r10, look at taking a couple off.

Use caution entering a position near an R10...you may take some unneeded heat early in the trade.

At least that is my take on it.

Thanks Trvlwanderer and Tortoise . that was helpful

I will do a search on R10 thread!
