JOsh, think you've made some good trades here in the past couple months. Dont overthink it. Dont overtrade. everyone gets frustrated. take a step back. (my week has sucked fwiw)

I'm almost certain that stop is going to get hit man, sorry to say. I wish I could have hit you up earlier.

Josh, I echo everyone else's sentiment about not even knowing your plan. That makes it hard to objectively judge what you are doing wrong.

I have laid my plan out plain as day on this site MULTIPLE times, and it hasn't lessened my edge one bit. I recommend you share here (or if you really don't feel comfortable with that, then through PMs with someone here you trust). Help us help you! :)

For me I have very vague areas I want to watch, and then I have a very specific setup that has to line up for me to get in. Yes occasionally I will chase or bend a rule here or there, but my bread and butter is when I execute the plan I have laid out for myself.

Oftentimes I hear you say things like "It looks overextended here". I think you know very well that this alone is not a valid reason to take a trade. If I feel that the market is overextended, that just poises me to keep an eye out for my setup. If the setup never shows, I hang tight and poke fun at you clowns :D You see what I'm getting at? Where are the specifics? Where do you KNOW you are wrong? etc.

Hurricane, Trvl, oracle, bigsnack, thanks all for comments. I will re-read again at the end of the day and digest...

As for my current long, 76.75, and add a long at 75.50, what do you think? If you're thinking "boy, that's a stupid trade" please tell me why you think so, I would love feedback.

they are not buying aggressive here, you have a bull bias,i have a bear bias and only trade half the time

+1 here. I would love this market to rip again, but I have tested criteria that hints to me that the market is not ready to go up yet.

I would not be long from here, but for me the only safe short was up at 79.50's, so it's a sit on hands moment.

For those of you who are consistently doing well in this market, why must it be so damn hard for me right now? I am frustrated because I buy early, like my last trade, and get taken out. Then I patiently wait, and place my limit, and do not get filled. Now buyers aggressive. Seriously, let me have it. Tell me all the problems I have because I have a LOT of problems. Did great the last two weeks, this week can't trade for shit. Please slam me in classic ET fashion and make me want to quit; that's the kind of talking I need right now I think. I love trading but when I miss orders by a tick like I did on the long earlier at 74.75, I just lose my mind. Help me please, thanks.

Extreme low volume since beginning of this week

ES directional up swing for almost 20 calendar days now - need a pause or pullback

So PA becomes a fight among the higher timeframe players and the bots

Normal PA will come back ... just be aware of changing from one phase in the mkt (structured up move) to another phase in the mkt (congestion or potential change in trend).

Very helpful, thanks. This is my blind spot.

In other words, when I see huge positive volume delta (upticks-downticks) and price not moving, there's a high probability that's indicative of small-fry buying while the big guns are just sitting on the offer. Did I get that right?

they way I look at it is that 'they" are painting the tape. That volume belongs to multiple timeframes imagine one major firm has 4 monkeys generating trades
monkey 1 does intraday trades
monkey 2 does daily
monkey 3 weekly
monkey 4 monthly

all submit their orders to one smart orangutan what is the net outcome of the trades that the orangutan outputs, you see you never see the full picture of what is behind the curtain, monkey 1 may be accumulating while monkey 4 distributes

a crazy view I guess
