tortoise, I just noticed that I had a trendline connecting lows on the 30 minute from 2/6 and 2/7 -- well, 2/10 trounced all over it but still never really settled below it. Look where the market just stopped... I'm thinking, you've got to be kidding me. Stupid trend line traders. @#^@!^ :mad:

Well, if this market weren't so damn dull, we just might find your claim credible. :)

It's hard to believe the market could be this boring when Europe's about to go down the drain. Isn't China's import/export also down? FWIW

josh,if we are all watching the same thing and there really is no way of knowing what the hell is going on ,we hang on those,i sometimes think that the powers that move these markets respect those just to keep us in the game ...carrot ahead of the donkey

sounds plausible...

Just to be clear, I don't watch trend lines, and never claim to have predicted anything regarding them.. I actually noticed it AFTER it ran into it and bounced off, otherwise it would just be another worthless trendline on my chart. I have a total of 2 or 3 on them all I think.
 
Woah!

I tried to buy a 50% long at 40.25's just after 12, and it plowed right through. On an impulse (stupid, I know), I bought the double bottom and got out WAAAAYYYY too early. I'm bidding 42.50's right now to get back in, but I doubt I'll get it.
