Eric Cantor succumbs to tea party challenger

It wasnt just Cantors polls that were inaccurate, i saw one on breitbart last week that showed Cantor with a 13 point lead.

God bless that site, I honestly think that with all the negative articles (Which were accurate) they put out on that cockroach Cantor a week ago, they were able to take him down.

But the numbers they won with should have been much larger. Change is at hand. Now they won't be so quick to shit on those who have helped to keep them in their positions...especially Boehner. He is speaker ONLY because of tea party types, and he would be wise to remember that.

They got rid of an asshole sell out politician who was willing to chase the left wing further to the left. It had nothing to do with religion, but nice try.

S'okay, I was being sarcastic myself. Like I give a fuck whether Cantor gets renominated or replaced by somebody even batshit-crazier. But there are some conservative Jews (yes they do exist) suddenly realizing they don't even have token representation in Congress anymore. Interesting times ahead.

This falls into the category of be careful what you wish for. Unless BOTH parties do the purging, the government will continue it's shift left. I'm not saying that Cantor shouldn't have been ousted. He should have, but the GOP just got weaker, and the dems suffered no loss here. This new guy may have been a Tea Party guy yesterday, but make no mistake, he's a republican today. There is no third party. The establishment won't allow it.

There doesn't need to be a third party. There just needs to be a party of unified principles.

Change has to begin somewhere. And it has now begun.

I don't really understand your point. I don't see how the GOP got weaker. A message was sent to the pro amnesty, big business crowd that runs the party in the only language they understand.

I think it is premature to just assume the guy who beat him will automatically fall into line in Washington. He is Tea Party first, republican second. He will be looking to Ted Cruz for guidance, not Boehner.

It will be interesting to see how the republicans handle this. Will they back the republican heavily in the general election or will they freeze him out of funds, hoping he will lose? Will Cantor attempt an independent run? A handful of moderate republicans have donw that when they lost.
