Eric Cantor succumbs to tea party challenger

I hear you. I was trying to say that IMO counterfactual speculation has to go beyond what's reasonable to even approach Obama's actual track record of failure.

Of course you're right.

For starters, with McCain there would have been no Obamacare, which means two things right there. One, we wouldn't have wrecked the health care system, and two, the economy would be a lot better. I can add three, there wouldn't be the Obamacare taxes burdening the economy.

I honestly don't see how McCain could have been worse on immigration. Or using the military to force social engineering. He wouldn't have appointed two liberal drones to the Supreme Court.

Could he have been worse in the middle east? Probably not. I doubt he would have undermined Mubarek like Obama and Hillary did. Who knows what sort of idiocy he would have gotten into in Libya and syria, but it could hardly have been worse than what we got with King Obama. He would have stayed in Iraq, which I would have been against, but as events have unfolded, it might not have been the worst possible outcome. I'm pretty sure McCain wouldn't have been out partying with rappers and too busy to deal with the Benghazi attack, and if someone under him had left Americans to fend for themselves, he would have fired them.

"...Most of the thinking people have had to vote against democrats for the sake of the economy and world security.

Obama shows has proven that strategy to be a good one.

Too bad it hasn't been a "successful" one.
