Poverty rates are one way to look at it. Income growth is another:

What you're saying happens to be true...

But why does any of it point to racism the way you'd like to argue it?

Are blacks responsible for the increase in white poverty...? Not really...

Is the government...? Only when it comes to race quotas and affirmative action...

Are whites responsible for the lack of income growth amongst blacks? Not really...

But this new breed of "new age liberal" seems to think that it's directly related to racism.

It plays a factor but not in quotas assigned to affirmative action programs. That obviously helps minorities and is immune to economic changes. Nevertheless affirmative action is obviously not the root of the problem.

No one here would disagree that the financial crisis, and subsequent non-recovery had something to do with it.

My bad...

I was expecting you to quickly point out racism the way everyone else does... Let's face it... That's what the argument would come down to...

EDIT: It is rising for black females but falling for black males. It is also falling for white males but stays relatively unchanged for white females.

You started out saying that they're (blacks) incomes were disproportionately hit (during the recession, hinting that they were somewhat targeted) which happens to be true for black males only because black females actually rose in income.

By percentage it's a wash...

If and when I ever start arguing about the continuing existence of racism I'll simply start linking to youtube hidden videos and news investigations which capture it. It's never been easier to prove it still exists. But, I'm not making that argument.
