In 2009 the percentages by race were:
White: 4.4
Black: 14.9
Hispanic: 8.1
Asian: 7.4
Native American: 17.3

The numbers seem tough to find after 2009. But the Census Bureau does report that
Blacks represent 39.8% of welfare recipients and Whites represent 38.8%, Hispanics represent 15.7%, Asians 2.4% and other races 3.3%.
We can't extrapolate the percentage of a race on welfare with out knowing the total percentage of the population on welfare during this count.

Do you understand that if the US was 50% white and 50% black those numbers of 33.4 million whites and 12 million blacks would be 22 million whites and 50 million blacks?
