“While her win won’t change the makeup of the heavily Republican Alabama legislature, it does showcase the enormous impact reproductive issues, such as abortion and in-vitro fertilization, could have down the ballot in 2024.”

Democrat voters and activist are focusing their abortion efforts on the local level because Biden didn't and wont do anything about abortion.Democrat voters who dont like Biden also know he wouldn't do anything about abortion rights in a 2nd term so its not a reason to vote for him.
And just because a voter will vote for one democrat they like doesn't mean they will vote for Biden.
