Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s independent bid for president is facing a big hurdle just as it gets off the ground: a grueling, expensive fight to get on the ballot in 50 states and Washington, D.C.
Kennedy said he planned to "spoil" the election for both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump — and if polls that show him pulling as much as 14 percent of the general electorate hold, he certainly could be. But it will depend on whether his campaign can successfully navigate the complex ballot access process.

I don't know who his replacement will be, and I wouldn't even be saying this if he was 20 years younger, but god love him.... he needs to go live where Jimmy Carter lives for the duration of his time here.
Oh, I was just referring to his polling status which has multiple implications for others in the race and who all else might enter amongst both the pubs and dems. His status will always be central to the ground game of others.
Otherwise, I am on record ad nauseum multiple times over from the beginning that I think that Biden will drop out sometime between Thanksgiving and the middle of January. He only announced because he is trying to minimize the time he is perceived as a lame duck. If he does not drop out then I still believe that he will be taken out by Rumsfeldian factors- such as a health event or someone other than Trump getting traction and causing a panic amongst dems to move him out even later in the election cycle. Which would be a mess but having him there and functioning on the level of a Russet Potato is a mess too. There is not a day that goes by that I do not make the point that the dems deal with their anxiety by obsessively watching Republican problems while a five alarm clusterfuck is brewing in their camp over Biden.
Newsom knows all this too. You think he is visiting Israel to share his vast experience and interest in enforcing borders with them? Heh. little joke there.
