As much as they moan, the dem Cabal over at the DNC and Biden campaign are certainly not interested in seeing a wounded Trump. He is the only one they think Joe can beat and even that is HIGHLY questionable.

I think we can all agree that after the past few years nothing can wound trump...least of all someone like christie who no one pays any attention to. It is laughable that after all the turmoil during his presidency, Jan 6th, the lawsuits and court cases, the affiliates of trump going to jail, etc.. and he is still leading in the polls that people think they suddenly have hte magic potion to wound trump.

only thing that can wound trump is trump and his old age and repetitive rants. People are tired of it but have yet to find a better alternative. Ronnie is trump wannabe light and doing a poor job of it and the rest are still swimming in single digits. And Biden forces more people to look for alternatives.

"Nothing" that has come forth yet anyway.

It is clear that Trump is not invincible though. During the heady days of DeSantis's early foray or speculation period it became very clear that many donors and voters (beyond the immovable MAGA hardliners) were willing to go with someone else.

Problem is. DeSantis is not able to deliver on the trail so a lot of things are unwinding.

Whether a unknown unknown will arise to fill the void that has been created now by DeSantis's flaccidity, remains, well....errrr... unknown.

Unknowns over in Camp Dem too.

Chris Christie is more like a like a home entertainment system, rather than a serious candidate.

Doesn't have a good look to it. I take points away from Hannity for this. Even if he ultimately has Christie on, he has poisoned the well before his appearance by dissing him in advance.

Hannity has touted several times that he will have all the candidates on, now he filters out Christie because he is too hard on his boy Trump.

I would not let my dog dignify Christie by pissing on him, so I am not a Christie fan.

Nevertheless, democracy is served by vetting all and any blowhards. The voters can figure things out all by themselves.

I do believe that the host has the right to control the course of the interview if a guest veers off into kamikaze mode excessively but that is why Hannity gets the big bucks. Just do your job rather than be a whiny little pussy who does not invite people to his party who he does not like.

The traditional standard for a viable candidate is to make the party debates. (Obviously this is complicated on the Republican side as there are all kinds of weirdo issues the party and individual candidates have with debates.) But Christie’s big hurdle will be to get the 40,000 individual donors. With that said, I really don’t think “journalists” have any obligation to give unviable candidates air time.
