I don't see Stewart in this poll.
I remember when right wingers would derisively refer to Obama as the “celebrity president.” Then they nominated Trump, a true celebrity. Now the democrats are kicking around Oprah and Jon Stewart. I honestly think this is a result of too much opinion shows being misinterpreted as actual news and the reach of social media into our lives.
Don’t get me wrong, anyone born in America and over the age of 35 can be president but we really should be looking at people with actual governing, legislating and foreign policy experience.
People knock Biden but he moved a lot of legislation through Congress with a bare majority. Someone like Stewart could not have gotten that done. Trump obviously failed miserably on the legislative side too.
For all of celebrities' woes, I don't see anyone in the dem's running being better than Stewart on policy. Though I've said that since around Obama. And I disagree w/not getting stuff moving under Stewart....dude single handedly shamed congress to pay out healthcare for first responders w/o even being elected.

Not to forget that it seems to be getting on the ballot in some states so that lets third party-ers on to senate and house races. So don't just do your knee-jerk thing about how "third party presidential cannot win". We got that. But it can mess up some states or help them depending on your view.

As previously discussed, it works for him.
But for other candidates trying to put a plan together if he does not run? Not so much. He is out into the summer or fall now with his announcement. Prick.
I have heard some pundits say that he does not want to announce at and take attention away from Trumps disgrace and ordeal right now. I dunno about that. One could argue that he would just taking away from Trump becoming a martyr and raising funds by the pantload. Be careful tards. You are not all that smart.

The anticipation by top Biden aides first called for a launch somewhere around Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Then, it pushed back to "not long after" the State of the Union Address.

Others close to President Biden signaled he would announce his 2024 reelection campaign by the beginning of April, to capture pent-up voter enthusiasm and launch big at the start of a new fundraising quarter.
All three dates have come and gone, and Mr. Biden still hasn't officially said if he's running.

The president's closest advisers and other outside consultants are planning to meet as many as three times this week to continue making decisions on the logistics, staffing and timing of the reelection bid, CBS News has learned from multiple people familiar with the ongoing planning.
