Those of you who may have seen any snippets of white house commentary or lefty media commentary of Kamala commentary will have noted that the script making the rounds in the leftysphere is that the special prosecutor's comments in his report about Joe were "gratuitous." That is the operative word that all lefties must use if they are following the script. If this were are drinking game, I would be flat on my arse drunk from hearing that word repetitively.
But the real issue is that ....no it was not "gratuitious" and unnecessary political talk. The document providing the designation of the special counsel and describing his duties specifically said that he was authorized to make findings and bring charges if necessary but that he had to specify the charges and give detailed reasons. BUT it also said that if he declined to bring any charges that he had to explaine and outline the reasons for the declinations. THUS, the prosecutor was required to list his reasoning for declinations and he did that. He said he was not doiing it because he could not get a conviction due to the mental state of the defendant. That was his reasoning, and he was required under the terms of his appointment to state what his reasoning was. It does not matter whether anyone agrees with him or not. That is the purpose of requiring him to state it so that others can agree, disagree, or simply be informed. BOOM!
Had he not stated his reasoning, it would have made things even worse. Then there would be an appearance that special counsel made findings but did not bring charges due to political interference from the white house or two-tiered system or whatever. And that would not have been pretty either.
My first question was indeed "is this a partisan hack"? And while he may indeed be partisan, he appears to be no hack. Garland should've gone w/a dem non-hack:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_K._Hur
Hur has made donations to the campaigns of a number of Republican political candidates.[16]
On November 1, 2017, Hur was nominated by President Donald Trump to be the next United States Attorney for the District of Maryland.[6] On March 22, 2018, his nomination was reported out of committee by voice vote.[7] He was confirmed by voice vote later the same day.[8] He was sworn in on April 9, 2018.[9]
After law school, Hur was a law clerk for Judge Alex Kozinski of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit from 2001 to 2002, then for Chief Justice William Rehnquist of the Supreme Court from 2002 to 2003.[2]
Actually the comments about memory and elderly were superfluous to his declining reasoning. But you’re the one making the allegations so you must have read the report. NOT.
Your comments are a complete crock. It is clear from the report and his statement that his memory and elderlyness were central to his decision to not prosecute.
I usually am tolerant of your need to earn your potato so let you spew out tripe to do what your script tells you to do. Don't press your luck. Your attempt to keep your ilk in their trance state when this is a clear wake-up call is a danger to the Republic. Americans should not be fucking around playing poitical word games as you are attempting. This clown needs to vacate the position of leader of the free world. As always, I entreat you to try thinking like an American rather than as a Democrat for once.
REPORT TAKES SHOTS AT BIDEN’S MEMORY, MENTAL CAPACITY
The special counsel’s report takes what seems at times gratuitous aim at Biden’s memory and mental capability as it lays out the ways in which the president could mount a hypothetical defense had he been charged with a crime.
It reports: “We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Wrong. You’re going off of what you’ve been told.
He needs to grasp the reality of---> reality. I mean holy cow... are they all going f'n senile?Y'all know that I have a tendency to overuse a certain analogy: ie. That politicians tend to be like that fly on your potato salad at the picnic......just when you think you have finally nailed that motherchucker...........bzzzz.....he's Baaa..ck.
But by jezuzzz it does apply sometimes, if not often.
Not sayin' this is headed anywhere. He is just trying to remain relevant and get press. Nevertheless I thought we got rid of him for at least a short while. Nope. He may be looking for a campaign position in some third party movement too. I mean, like, what else does he have to do?
