Earnings journal

Looks like IFF creamed us,company raised guidance 1.5 EPS! Are you kidding me!
IFF misses earnings by 18%, I am not to sure how this company will react tomorrow. Their guidance is fraudulent and was raised to meet analysts expectations. They will never hit that 6.30 EPS at the end of the year. I'm buying long term puts in the morning

Does this look right to anyone? 6.30 EPS is guidance by end of year. They raised guidance from 5 to 6.30? because analysts ests were 6.30?? What a fraud.

Looking at their published #, it is entirely possible. As long as Revenue and cashflow beat, 2019 earning is possible (easier to "manage"). Revenue looks good for this quarter.

Just finished reading their 8-K. 1st Q 19 quite a bit better than 1st Q 18, especially revenue. Investors of this type of companies generally look for revenue growth rather than short term profit.

Could you elaborate more on why investors of this company prefer revenue numbers over earnings?

Not just this company, most investors of small and medium size companies prefer growth, grabbing market share and hope that profit will come later. Example: SHOP, TNDM (@oldmonk's trade), IQ, AMZN (back in dot com days), FB (early on)....

How much are you paying a month for it?

Zero, and there's still plenty of features to keep me busy. Yes it is dated as the page needs to be refreshed to update the charts. It would be great for the longer term trades, but for your overnight trades it would never be fast enough.

Small-cap growth is black hole of investing. Investors always overpay of small-cap growth, reason for lousy returns
