Duref Mentors Lucky

But we digress. Lucky, come up with a game plan. Let me give you a hint. I slaved writing a textbook in the late '60's. Took me five years. Made well over $50K in royalties. Very satisfying! But would I not have been better off financially in the long run taking a second job at Mickey D's? Moral? If you have a passion, better find a way to pay for it until you learn to be the best. History is replete with biographies of great people who bloomed late. A starving trader is not nearly so romantic as a starving artist.

Qubie, I am a child of children of the Not-So-Great Depression. And I have read all the major books about it. Just between you and me, OK? Obama wants to be remembered as Roosevelt. He's the next Hoover.

I will not starve (ok, I am starving a little right now, trying to take off the 10 lbs the trading lifestyle has handed me). I have the financial wherewithal to last. My urge to work has more to do with the top of Maslow's pyramid than the bottom. It is the self-delusion part that made me consider walking away. I am happy to be patient, but I do not wish to be foolish.

Oh, don't say Maslow! Only people as old as me are supposed to remember him. Still remember when I discovered him. Sent me down a dark path of self-discovery which wound up splitting my fragile personality.

Let me put this another way. ET is filled with phonies (I myself am only a semi-phony). It is important to be able to distinguish them from the real deal here. Of course if you could SEE or HEAR them, you would know in a flash. So I have tests. One of them is the lament "It took me x-mulitples of ten grand to get here!" X typically varies from 1 to 5. I would be embarrassed to tell you what my multiple is. Can you spare that much? If not, wait until you are as old and relatively fat as me.

My dearest Artie,

I don't think that you can convince me to drop this altogether. But you can convince me to slow down. Having said that, shall we take a break?

Can I come back and pester y'all again soon?

Luckygirl writing Gender Guesser's result;

Genre: Formal
Female = 456
Male = 609
Difference = 153; 57.18%
Verdict: Weak MALE

Weak emphasis could indicate European.
