I'm just starting to do openings. Could you list what stocks you're getting filled on also? It would help me to figure this strategy out a little.

Are you going to keep posting your bootcampers' trades?
 
I'm not really supposed to post the exact stocks (regulators may call that "touting"), but if you read the prior posts, you can get a pretty good idea.

Some banks, some brokers, tech, financials, pharmaceuticals, retailers.

I'm trying to format the bootcampers info this week, I'll do a weekly (at minimum) posting on their results.

PS: I submit between 16-20 stocks per day.
 
You mentioned that you traded MRK, TXN and KRB. What's the difference between mentioning those 3 stocks and mentioning 6 stocks?

I'm not trying to avoid anything, the good ones today were C, TXN, MRK, and BMY...I just change my list (a bit) once in a while, so I don't want anyone to get in trouble.

WHAT A DISASTER..!!!

WHAT do you do when you get filled and it goes straight down. (or straight up if you are short) Really didn't have a chance to do anything on HRB except eat a large loss right off the bat.

But sometimes they come all the way back... like EMR..

And, sometimes they come part way back, like PEG..

And sometimes they go ..down.. down.. down.. down.. til you want to puke.

To add to the fun, ECHOtrade lost thier charts at the open AGAIN, and just for added excitement, the quote server was shutdown for a little while. (right when I was trying to figure out what to do with PEG and HRB.. I've got no quotes.)

I did have charts though, (my backup plan for Qcharts worked) but it is tough without quotes. Even when I had them, I wasn't sure they were right. :confused:

Can't blame my troubles with HRB on ECHOtrade, but it sure didn't help things.

Anyway, got out of all this as best I could... but these kind of days ruin any profit potential of this stratagy. I don't ever seem to get anything to run like this in my FAVOR.

Used 1.4 on the sell and 1.5 on the buy side.

Hey Tony, those are some ugly losses. I've completely given up on "waiting" for the come back. If I'm down .20-.25 I usually get out. Past history dictates that when my stocks go against me more that .30 I usually end up losing .50- .75.
 
I didn't trade it, but that HRB chart looks like a freefall right from the bell. Cut your loss quickly and look for a better opportunity.

We used .8 today on both sides, since the market was opening relatively flat. Filled on 7, 5 w, 2 L, made $1400 (70 cents).

Yes, C was good for 47 cents on 'price improvement'....
