it seems to me that you want a large enough print so that the specialist has to reach for shares in the case of a long.if he has to reach for shares it seems like he would be more likely to make the first print more extreme to ensure he can replace those shares at a profit or if he has to short to fill the order he can cover at a profit.tia
We generally just concern ourselves with the overal average trading volume of the stock (1Mil shares minimum daily). This way, the openings that we want to participate in will be a large enough number to move the stock price to a point where we can make some money on the reversal. You have the concept figured out well it seems.
Today was an exact break even....I got out of AOL too soon again (damn, damn)....but with the slowness of the day, that's ok....next week things should look better......
