Hi Don; see, there are others of us out there. LOL. Hope you're over whatever ailed you. I suspect you're still somewhat under the weather. Your response to this "naysayer" was tame compared to the way you use to attack me. Hope the fight hasn't gone out of you.

Just to set Midas straight... one can disagree with Don, or anyone else for that matter, over tactics, points of strategy, etc. or even questions Don's motives (I'll leave that to the new guy) without seeking to discredit the entire OO play. I, for one, have been using some form of an opening strategy in my trading probably since you were learning arithmetic on flash cards. Hope it continues to work for you.

But let us all be honest --- we all know going in to Bright and to a lot of other firms --- a newbie will be charged a higher rate than a seasoned trader. I'm sorry that we have a business to run, and school to teach, and that we design rates based on individual traders (not really sorry, just trying to say that I have a hard time keeping every ET'er up to speed, although I do my best with PM's and emails from the serious guys).

Serious traders usually call me directly, and probably don't bother posting their results on ET. I have a reason for posting, just to show that even with only a $million or so in buying power, you can make $50-$100K per year on the openings (obviously much more for the bigger traders).

Start with us, continue with the advanced classes (with my brother and PairCo, among others), and if you leave, you will likely come back (just smiling now)....

This is one of the better threads on this site. As you felt compelled to discredit I felt compelled to give my 2 cents. I have followed this thread for some time and I don't agree with your assessment. Thats all.

I fail to see the value in someones post that I made $100 today trading the open. What did you learn from that. Absolutely nothing! The information flow IS NOT FREE. If you want to learn what Don is doing...he is going to charge you $3000 bucks to teach it to you at one of his 8 week seminars ( not to mention $800 in desk fees, and an overpriced commission rate). Don isn't even a very good trader....ask him how many times he has blown out? Ask him how many times his brother has cut off his trading? Get the facts....ask the tough questions before you blindly support this man. He has a reason for this journal...and it isn't to help you out midas. Sorry to be the one to give you a reality check...but someone has to keep it real.

simply false. i have followed Dons open threads since the beginning and also do open orders myself. Don has answered every question every newbe has ever answered. he has given every bit of information anybody ever needed to learn this trade for free.
of course Don wants people to come to his school. whats wrong with that? in this business $1000 is a very cheap price to pay to shorten the learning curve.

Gimme a break! What exactly is false about my statements. There is very little value to be had from someone saying I made $100 today. Or saying I am using an envelope of .4. These threads give a newbie trader just enough rope to hang himself. Going through brights bootcamp and picking up your size, will only make an unprofitable demise occur that much quicker. To think otherwise is simply ridiculous!
