Do you deny that the portfolio managers are currently down millions of dollars YTD? Do you deny that the firm currently as a large position in GM and taking large losses on it?

I noticed that your title says you're a "remote manager", what would a remote manager know about net firm positions. Nothing!
You might want to reinvestigate there "sheets" as Don advoacates....it doesn't take long for 10 million in losses to accumulate and then get distributed to all of there traders. That is the firm policy isn't it?

As remote manager, I visit the corporate office quite frequently and last time I was there everything was going well. If you want up-to-the-second reports, I guess you'd have to talk to someone who is there and knows ALL the details (ie: Bob).

And yes, I am the remote manager for Bright. And seeing as you're wanting to confirm who I am, why not tell us exactly who you are?
 
The witch was cold this morning. That's two expiration Friday's in a row in which (not w-i-t-c-h) the openings were disappointingly tight. Could have stayed in bed an slept St. Pats day off. Perhaps the rebalancing prints will be more generous.
 
The witch wasn't cold, well, she was just a witch. I got slammed pretty good, and now must do my post mortem and figure out what the heck happened, and how I can avoid having this happen to me again. I hope everyone elses morning went better.

i agree with you gents...

i stayed away from the o/o strategy due to the dow arb lining up...

o/o would have been a loser.....

isn't it amazing all the dow stocks were imbalances to buy over a million shares and i had trouble getting shorts off in 6 of them....

i guess these guys do it with mirrors and smoke...

i intend to stay away from the close as it should be a goat f@ck...

i feel your pain..:)
 
still no luck in opening today. Keep subsidizing this strategy 200 - 400 USD each day from my other trading strategy. Cut down size big time to opening strategy and hopefully it will return someday (better be soon..)
 
didn't play today....

would have worked fine...

4 fills 2 long / 2 short...

quick out would have made around $100,00

if you waited it would have been around 300.00

i widened by envelopes out to net esm5 change plus or minus 1%

i think this is the sweet spot between sanity and being too aggressive..at this distance you should be able to do larger size,,

now i just need 2 more hands...
