Does Obama live in an alternate universe?

In talking about the Planned Parenthood attack, Obama said:

"I say this every time we have one of these mass shootings... this just doesn't happen in other countries."

Obama 12/1/2015 in Paris, France

No. Obama say this do not happen frequently like this happen is USA. President Obama never say "this just doesn't happen in other countries."

You are a complete and total idiot. My quote was verbatim.

Trendlover is nominated for Dunce of the Week.

Here is a transcript of the President's comments:

"It's still an active situation. FBI is on the ground offering assistance to local officials as they need it. It does appear that there are going to be some casualties. And, obviously our hearts go out to the victims and the families. The one thing we do know is that we have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world. And there are some steps we could take not to eliminate every one of these mass shootings, but to improve the odds that they don't happen as frequently: common-sense gun safety laws, stronger background checks.

And for those who are concerned about terrorism, some may be aware of the fact that we have a no-fly list where people can't get on planes, but those same people who we don't allow to fly could go into a store right now in the United States and buy a firearm and there's nothing that we can do to stop them. That's a law that needs to be changed.

And so my hope is that we're able to contain this particular shooting, and we don't yet know what the motives of the shooters are, but what we do know is that there are steps we can take to make Americans safer, and that we should come together in a bipartisan basis at every level of government to make these rare as opposed to normal. We should never think that this is something that just happens in the ordinary course of events, because it doesn't happen with the same frequency in other countries."

You are the stupid one wildchild if you think the President Obama saying "this just doesn't happen in other countries" really does not know the shootings do happen in other countries. He is talking about frequency in that speech. I put the link for another speech too.
Do you think Obama is so stupid to think no shootings happen in other countries?

We should adopt the gun laws of France since they have only had about two attacks since WWII, and their gun laws are very similar to the gun laws in Mexico.

who decides who gets put on that non buy list?

Yes... this is exactly the problem. Obama still has no policy for dealing with ISIS and terrorism...

Obama offers reassurance, little policy in speech

There were no new policy prescriptions, no fresh military strategies and no timelines. When President Barack Obama seized the spotlight for a rare prime time address Sunday night, he came with one major message: It's going to be OK.

Standing in the Oval Office, Obama sought to calm nerves and quiet a chorus of critics who charge the president has been too slow to acknowledge the threat posed by Islamic radicalism and too tepid in his response.

He has a strategy...let them kill each other over there, it is not our problem. And I agree.

Now dealing with ISIS in USA? That's a problem. I'm still waiting for any candidate or even any poster on ET to come up with a workable idea.

Let's start with improved screening of those entering the U.S.

Facts that Obama and the left like to ignore:
1. According to the FBI's Expanded Homicide Data Table 8 in 2014 there were 248 murders that involved any type of rifle. With a population of over 350,000,000 that means the dreaded "Assault Weapon" killed 0.0000007% of people.
2.There have been exactly 0 mass shootings by an NRA member.
3. The Justice Department released a report in 2001 that notes 0.8% of guns used in crimes were bought at a gun show. Over 60% of guns used in crimes are stolen.
4.They claim that restricting guns will decrease the suicide rate however Japan has virtually no firearms and their suicide rate is almost twice as high as the US.
5.They like to say that over 30,000 people lose their lives to guns every year however over 21,000 of those are intentional suicides.
6. They say the NRA is "the most influential" lobbying group because they spent $27 million since 1998. Here's the Top 20 Lobbying Groups who spent at least 6 times that much:
US Chamber of Commerce $1,204,575,680
American Medical Assn $343,092,500
National Assn of Realtors $336,919,763
General Electric $330,130,000
American Hospital Assn $290,601,311
Pharmaceutical Rsrch & Mfrs of America $281,671,420
Blue Cross/Blue Shield $266,774,586
AARP $254,241,064
Northrop Grumman $229,152,213
Boeing Co $220,757,310
Business Roundtable $213,110,000
Exxon Mobil $212,216,942
Lockheed Martin $210,353,272
Verizon Communications $209,190,043
Edison Electric Institute $197,706,789
AT&T Inc $191,835,644
National Cable & Telecommunications Assn $189,460,000
Southern Co $179,720,694
National Assn of Broadcasters $178,600,000
Altria Group $164,545,200

Chew on that for awhile
