And then there is the other view........which is that Trump did nothing because allegedly that was in Mueller's bailiwick and he could not go there, and dumb-arse Sessions recused himself from it so Trump had no choice but to just take up the bo-bo and deal with it.
Then, along came Barr who decided that he was going to just go ahead and fully examine the origins of the witch-hunt and that that included looking at connections with Ukraine, and he had and has an active investigation going which extends to the Ukraine. Which also confirms that Trump had a valid reason for leaning on the President Z to get more support for an ongoing justice department led investigation, in addition to just any political gain.
We have had this discussion a couple times and you reject it and, I think too, are not able to understand it. You repetitively descend into some kind of "two wrongs don't make a right" kind of argument which is neither here nor there. As I said before, you and the other lefties immediately understand the point when it applies to Obama but do not see for Trump. If I say to you that Obama and his minions had a direct political gain from investigating his opponent, Trump, y'all immediately say "yeh, maybe but he also had another legal reason for doing it so it was allowable, no person is above the law just because they are candidate, blah, blah, blah." Well, Trump had a doj based reason for wanting to see the Ukraine cough up more info on Biden, just as Obama allegedly had-allegedly- a doj-based reason for wanting his minions to cough up more info on Trump.
