Well he might be interpereting your stance as it should not be shown to any child at all:

Now it is a cartoon kiss and as a parent you are 100% correct to say you do not want your child seeing this at age ____. But the interpretation by many, and I am assuming NOT you, that no children should see two cartoon characters of the same sex kiss (no one is talking about gay porn

here) is maybe what is being objected too.
Now if your view is about your parental choice I agree with you 100%. Not wanting your child seeing that does not mean gay hate and parents should not be crucified for that.
But assuming that is what you mean, there is a large group of people who demand Disney not show that at all because of their personal preference/bias and therefore want Disney to change for them rather than making the choice to not see it.
