Deutschland Finanztransaktionssteuer

This is not 100% sure. They need at least 9 EU countries willing to participate, but 9 to 10 countries seem to support it, and if they agree, the tax could start in 2021.
This new European transaction tax applies only to equities and ETFs (not derivatives) of the participating countries (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Greece, Slovenia, Slovakia).
If you live in the EU and trade in US equities and derivatives, nothing will change for you (at least for now).

Hello Callumbus,
I am very vigilant at the moment about the development in D and the EU. Thanks for the information. So in the last debate in the Bundestag you call us speculators ... The speculative nature sounded negative for our work. People should be glad that we hold our heads for price stability.

I agree. The current EU Financial Transaction Tax, which is currently on the French Financial Transaction Tax, as it applies only to local equities - not foreign equities and not derivatives.

From time to time, I trade French shares in the form of CFDs. No problem.

In the future? The prospect of a US tax transaction is very unlikely. But you never know. People really do not seem to like us. [/QUOTE}

The problem is that most people do not understand our work. We are responsible for price stability, it is not ripped off.
We keep our heads down ....
I often have this discussion in D. If one speaks of the money one is defended as conspiracy theorist. This ignorance of finance is enormous.
And yes, as in Sweden, the money went quickly, and the country has not made it up yet.

Greetings Thomas

Where are they going to? The best will move to the US for now. After 2020 elections who knows.
The masses don't move unless there is starvation i.e. Venezuela

You have Asian countries, middle-eastern kingdoms (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait etc). Not sure why you'd think the "best" would necessarily move to the US. They'd move to where-ever their lives are the best, which is not always the US.
The masses won't ever move but with low birthrates, population drain is a major problem. Sure, immigration is increasing in most of Europe but then you have a large population who doesn't even speak your language. A whole new set of problems arises.

Financial transaction tax = financial transaction tax, I think. The rest of it though ...

Countries that implement this will destroy themselves. The EU has taken some horrendous measures, and then heads of state and government are debating why people emigrate to many countries. I suppose that if you want to replace the population with Syrians, Iraqis and Africans then your plan works. Other than that - stop treating your population as dairy cows, otherwise they will vote with their feet.

Hello d08,

Sounds to me like the Marshall plan is being implemented. A relic from old times. Still up to date. I'm getting very bad bad when I walk through the streets here. I am a cosmopolitan and by no means a right-wing radical, I am not against diversity. But my wife hardly dares to go alone on the street .....

Thomas

You should move to Eastern parts of EU then. Ironically, it's safer in those Eastern EU countries on the streets. It's ironic because it used to be the opposite. I'm not a skinhead and like most diversity that generally agrees with the local culture but maybe it's necessarily to have a group that gives a "friendly" reminder to the Sharia Law "implementers" where they are located.
